Bikinis don't always have to be sexy....(especially because I never feel sexy in mine), but the new trend of sporty bikinis and swim suits make them more fun and less pressure-ish... So this season I'm pairing my bikini with an edgy oversized mesh hoodie and perforated slip ons to the pool party... for like, 10 mins. Yay. Summer.

HIS&HERS: City Chic
Recently, I've been trying to make my everyday simpler without losing style or personality. This is one way we like to make a statement without really doing much at all. We all know how much neutrals invade our closet, but theres a reason for it, and there are always ways to make them look different too.

Festival Fever
This was my first year at Coachella, and I knew how serious everyone was about Coachella fashion, but I didn't exactly how REAL it was. I'm sure we've all seen the crazy amounts of Coachella posts, so needless to say, it was amazing, but honestly, I was more focused on what people wore. These were my outfits for the three days, but rest assured, next year I'm going bigger!
The coordinate outfit, was made by yours truly, as well as bodysuit and skirt in the bottom photo, but since the biggest trend I've seen this season is boho chic, it's literally everywhere, and can be easily translated into everyday fashion. Since festival season is here, why not make use of it right?

HIS&HERS: Camo
This doesn't need much explaining, but hey, we're a couple thats into fashion. Its how we met, and its how we complement and challenge each other. Theres always a way to look good together without having to wear the exact same thing (GROSS.) And theres no harm in being each others inspiration! Match on couples, match on! ... tastefully!

The Purple Journey
Six months ago, I decided to dye my hair. I had long, down-to-my-butt, 100% dark brown virgin hair, and of all the colors I wanted to dye it, I chose PURPLE. And of course, being me, it had to be that pretty, pinteresty looking purple hombre that was probably impossible to get. I was so damn psyched, but little did I know, I was in for a legitimate journey.
Since I haven't had anything major done to my hair aside a mere trim, I decided to go to the San Francisco School of Esthetics and Cosmetology. Why? Because they're experienced and trustworthy (the teachers, anyway) so theres not too much to worry about, and of course they're inexpensive, averaging less than half of what you'd pay elsewhere, if that. Plus, they explain everything to you step by step, and are extremely accommodating to your requests.
Anyway, heres how my journey began:
I have to say, I was pretty disappointed my first appointment, because I was so excited to get my hair from boring to beautiful in one sitting, I didn't realize how long the process was actually going to be. My first appointment lasted 3 hours, and this was completely dedicated to lightening my hair. So it transformed the bottom half of my hair from a dark brown, to ehh.. I'd say a medium blonde. Second appointment- another three hours, but from a medium blonde to a platinum blonde, which honestly DID NOT look good but thankfully was only for one night. The next morning was it. Finally putting in the purples and making my hair that amazing pinteresty hombre!

That vibrancy ended super quick due to the lack of colored hair knowledge that no one wanted to tell me about! I had to learn the hard way that I needed to wash my hair in COLD water, which made it super complicated to shower.( You can only imagine how long my showers took) Although I was able to train my hair to only have to wash it once a week.
After my first touch up, we had to go a bit darker, since my hair started to blend (because I hadn't washed in cold water yet)
It would start to fade into a unicorn/mermaid pastel mix of lavender with some hues of blue and green after about 4 or 5 weeks between each touch up... but I kinda liked it!
The very last time I had it touched up probably held its vibrancy the longest, and I have to admit it was the most amazing my hair and ever looked! I frequently got TONS of complements on my hair, and honestly had a tough time deciding to cut it off, which I did, but overall, if you're looking for a change, get ready for super high maintenance and expensive, super gorgeous, and super annoyingly awesome hair.
